This study demonstrates the feasibility of an underground closed‐loop thermal storage facility at a post‐mining site, intended for seasonal heat energy storage. Its principal design shows water flow directions in winter and summer (1, 2), heat pumps (3), an upper water reservoir (4), and connecting pipes (5).

Geophysical Research Progress On Tight Sandstone Reservoir In Sulige Gas Field
The tight sandstone reservoir in the cooperation block of Sulige gas field is characterized by thin gas-bearing sand, large variation laterally, and strong heterogeneity. Due to the complex surface conditions, and particularly the thick weathered zone, the 3D seismic data presented limited frequency bandwidth.

On the basis of core and log data, a Bayesian‐Optimized Random Forest model achieved 92.76% accuracy in classifying tight sandstone reservoirs. A gray relational analysis‐derived evaluation index shows > 80% consistency with actual gas zones. ABSTRACT Tight sandstone gas (TSG), an unconventional oil–gas resource, has heterogeneous reservoirs ...

Study on Deformation Law of Crossing Layer Drilling Superimposed Floor Roadway
Based on deformation law of crossing layer drilling superimposed floor roadway, low dip angle drilling is particularly susceptible to complications such as borehole blockage and collapse. ABSTRACT Floor extraction roadway crossing layer drilling is a pivotal strategy for gas control in areas prone to coal and gas outbursts.

Soil uranium, soil gas radon and indoor radon empirical relationships in the UK and other European countries [PDF]
Least squares (LS) regression analysis is used to develop empirical relationships between uranium in the ground, radon in soil and radon in dwellings to assist in the development of a geogenic radon potential map for Europe.

The Physical Characteristics of a CO2 Seeping Fault: the implications of fracture permeability for carbon capture and storage integrity [PDF]
To ensure the effective long-term storage of CO2 in candidate geological storage sites, evaluation of potential leakage pathways to the surface should be undertaken.
