PECULARITIES OF VISUAL PERCEPTION OF IMAGES OF ANCIENT RUSSIAN TEMPLES' TILES
Background. The relevance of the research relates to the growing interest to ancient Russian art and to the lack of sociological and interdisciplinary research on the relationship between society and the products of tile art, widely represented in the ...

Spontaneous helical alignment of smooth muscle cells is induced within resistance‐vessel‐sized channels patterned within a hydrogel. The extent of the cells’ orientation angle is dependent on the presence and composition of ECM proteins lining the channel wall and cell seeding density.

Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

In this paper we introduce a model for a wide class of computational systems, whose behaviour can be described by certain rewriting rules. We gathered our inspiration both from the world of term rewriting, in particular from the {\em rewriting logic} framework \cite{Mes92}, and of concurrency theory: among the others, the {\em structured operational ...

Tiling problems, automata, and tiling graphs
This paper continues the investigation of tiling problems via formal languages, which was begun in papers by Merlini, Sprugnoli, and Verri. Those authors showed that certain tiling problems could be encoded by regular languages, which lead automatically to generating functions and other combinatorial information on tilings.

The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control
We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. The hydrogels are also integrated as 3D channels in organic electrochemical transistors as part of
