An AI‐Enabled All‐In‐One Visual, Proximity, and Tactile Perception Multimodal Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Targeting integrated multimodal perception of robots, an AI‐enabled all‐in‐one multimodal sensor is proposed. This sensor is capable of perceiving three types of modalities, including vision, proximity, and tactility. By toggling an ultraviolet light and adjusting the camera focus, it switches smoothly between multiple perceptual modalities, enabling ...

Odraz dobovej meštianskej módy na košických nálezoch kachlíc z 15. – 16. storočia

open access: yesArchaeologia Historica, 2016

Compliant Pneumatic Feet with Real‐Time Stiffness Adaptation for Humanoid Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A compliant pneumatic foot with real‐time variable stiffness enables humanoid robots to adapt to changing terrains. Using onboard vision and pressure control, the foot modulates stiffness within each gait cycle, reducing impact forces and improving balance. The design, cast in soft silicone with embedded air chambers and Kevlar wrapping, offers durable,

L’Anjou : la tuile au pays de l’ardoise

open access: yesArchéologie Médiévale
At the edge of both the Armorican Massif and the Paris Basin, the Anjou region is well known for its slated roofs. Though slate deposits are numerous and well stocked, other roofing materials have been used concurrently in restricted areas ...

Research on the Architecture of Phased Array Antenna of LEO Communication Satellites Based on Hybrid Beamforming

open access: yes天地一体化信息网络, 2021
Due to the characteristics of low earth orbit (LEO) communication satellite system like low propagation loss, small propagation delay and high pointing accuracy, a hybrid architecture-“analog beamforming stage and digital beamforming (DBF) stage” was ...

Numerical Modeling of Photothermal Self‐Excited Composite Oscillators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We present a numerical framework for simulating photothermal self‐excited oscillations. The driving mechanism is elucidated by highlighting the roles of inertia and overshoot, as well as the phase lag between the thermal moment and the oscillation angle, which together construct the feedback loop between the system state and the environmental stimulus.

Tiling the pentagon

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2000
The authors investigate several possibilities to dissect a convex pentagon into smaller pentagons. In Theorem 1, they show that a convex pentagon \(P\) can always be dissected into \(n\) pentagons which form an edge-to-edge tiling of \(P\), for any \(n\geq 6\). An edge-to-edge tiling of a pentagon \(P\) is called cubic if every vertex of the tiling has

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard): An Aerial Robotic Swarm for Autonomous Detection and Entrapment of Rogue Multirotors

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment

Perivascular Matrix Densification Dysregulates Angiogenesis and Activates Pro‐Inflammatory Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...
