Triterpenoids from Tillandsia fasciculata
Journal of Natural Products, 2001The leaves of Tillandsia fasciculata afforded four tetracyclic triterpenoids of the cycloartane type, two new compounds identified as cyclolaudenyl formate (2) and the (24S)-24-isopropenyl cycloartanone, which we named tillandsinone (1), and the known cyclolaudenone (3) and cyclolaudenol (4).

Chemical constituents from Tillandsia recurvata
Fitoterapia, 2004The CHCl3 extract of Tillandsia recurvata yielded 5,3'-dihydroxy-6,7,8,4'-tetramethoxyflavanone (1), 1,3-di-O-cinnamoyl-glycerol (2) and ethyl ester of caffeic acid. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods such as mass spectroscopy and 1 and 2D-NMR.

Hydroperoxycycloartanes from Tillandsia recurvata
Journal of Natural Products, 199525-Hydroperoxycycloart-23-en-3β-ol [1] and an epimeric mixture of 24-hydroperoxycycloart-25-en-3β-ol[2] have been isolated from Tillandsia recurvata. The structures of compounds 1 and 2 have been established by spectral analysis and chemical conversion to the corresponding diols.
