Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Non-Lyapunov stability of the fractional-order time-varying delay systems [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Technical Review, 2015
In this paper, the finite-time stability criteria are extended to nonlinear nonhomogeneous perturbed fractional-order systems including multiple time-varying delays.

Phased-Array antenna beam squinting related to frequency dependency of delay circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
-Practical time delay circuits do not have a perfectly linear phase-frequency characteristic. When these delay circuits are applied in a phased-array system, this frequency dependency shows up as a frequency dependent beam direction (“beam squinting ...

Survival Outcomes and Complications Among Canadian Children With Retinoblastoma: A Population‐Based Report From CYP‐C

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Bifurcation analysis of a first time-delay chaotic system

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
This paper deals with the dynamic behavior of the chaotic nonlinear time delay systems of general form x˙(t)=g(x(t),x(t−τ)) $\dot{x}(t)=g(x(t),x(t-\tau ))$.

Stability and stabilizability of linear time-delay systems on homogeneous time scales; pp. 124–136 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2017
This paper provides necessary and sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of a linear retarded time-delay system defined on a homogeneous time scale.

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Statistical multi-moment bifurcations in random delay coupled swarms

open access: yes, 2012
We study the effects of discrete, randomly distributed time delays on the dynamics of a coupled system of self-propelling particles. Bifurcation analysis on a mean field approximation of the system reveals that the system possesses patterns with certain ...

Feasibility and Safety of High‐Dose Proton Re‐Irradiation in Recurrent Pediatric Central Nervous System Tumors: A Single‐Institution Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors often recur despite multimodality therapy. Although re‐irradiation (re‐RT) has historically been limited by concerns for severe late toxicities, modern techniques have renewed interest in this approach. Proton therapy provides dosimetric advantages that may enable curative re‐treatment with

A Delay Almost Periodic Competitive System in Discrete Time

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2015
A discrete almost periodic competitive system with delay is proposed and analyzed. The system admits a unique almost periodic solution, which is shown to be uniformly asymptotically stable by using the method of Lyapunov function. Some specific numerical
