Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Stability of a time discrete perturbed dynamical system with delay

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 1999
Let Cn be the set of n complex vectors endowed with a norm ‖⋅‖Cn. Let A,B be two complex n×n matrices and τ a positive integer. In the present paper we consider the nonlinear difference equation with delay of the type uk+1=Auk+Buk−τ+Fk(uk,uk−τ),      k=0,

Synchronization of Time-Delay Chaotic System in Presence of Noise [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2012
Chaotic synchronization, as a key technique of chaotic secure communication, has received much attention in recent years. This paper proposes a nonlinear synchronization scheme for the time-delay chaotic system in the presence of noise.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Information thermodynamics for a multi-feedback process with time delay

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate a measurement-feedback process of repeated operations with time delay. During a finite-time interval, measurement on the system is performed and the feedback protocol derived from the measurement outcome is applied with time delay.

Phase synchronization in time-delay systems [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2006
Though the notion of phase synchronization has been well studied in chaotic dynamical systems without delay, it has not been realized yet in chaotic time-delay systems exhibiting non-phase coherent hyperchaotic attractors. In this article we report the first identification of phase synchronization in coupled time-delay systems exhibiting hyperchaotic ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Stability of a nonlinear non-autonomous fractional order systems with different delays and non-local conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2011
In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique solution for a class of nonlinear non-autonomous system of Riemann-Liouville fractional differential systems with different constant delays and non-local condition is.

Lamé system with weak damping and nonlinear time-varying delay

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2023
This article is concerned with the stability and dynamics for the weak damped Lamé system with nonlinear time-varying delay in a bounded domain. Under some appropriate assumptions, the global well-posedness and asymptotic stability are shown in the case ...
