Quantitative Study of Spodumene by Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (tof-SIMS)

open access: yesMolecules
In this paper, the quantitative feasibility of time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (tof-SIMS) for major and minor elements in spodumene was evaluated in terms of calibration method with a matrix-matched or non-matrix-matched standard and an ...

Plasma metabolomics profiling of maintenance hemodialysis based on capillary electrophoresis - time of flight mass spectrometry

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Uremia has been a rapidly increasing health problem in China. Hemodialysis (HD) is the main renal replacement therapy for uremia. The results of large-scale clinical trials have shown that the HD pattern is crucial for long-term prognosis of maintenance ...

Identification of Unknown Contaminants in Water Samples from ISS Employing Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes
Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry (MS/MS) is a powerful technique for identifying unknown organic compounds. For non-volatile or thermally unstable unknowns dissolved in liquids, liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) is ...

Suspect screening of maternal serum to identify new environmental chemical biomonitoring targets using liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The use and advantages of high-resolution mass spectrometry (MS) as a discovery tool for environmental chemical monitoring has been demonstrated for environmental samples but not for biological samples.

Beyond Earth: Resilience of Quasi‐2D Perovskite Solar Cells in Space

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In the article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202520433), Christoph Putz and co‐workers demonstrate rigid quasi‐2D perovskite solar cells operating in low Earth orbit, delivering stable power for more than 100 days under real‐space conditions. In‐orbit performance is correlated with extensive ground‐based thermal and proton‐irradiation studies on rigid and ...

Stable Protein‐Based G‐Quadruplex‐Derived Supramolecular Bioinks as Tunable ECM‐Mimetic Constructs Assembled by Combining Non‐Covalent and Covalent Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...

LVGEMS Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry on Satellites [PDF]

open access: yes
NASA fs investigations of the upper atmosphere and ionosphere require measurements of composition of the neutral air and ions. NASA is able to undertake these observations, but the instruments currently in use have their limitations.

Short‐Wavelength Infrared Imaging with Organic Photodetectors Based on Non‐Fullerene Acceptors with Detection above 1200 nm

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed organic photodetectors (OPDs) based on two novel low band gap non‐fullerene acceptors BZIC‐2F and BZIC‐2Cl, when blended with common polymer donor P3HT, extend detection range beyond 1200 nm with superior performance, rivaling costly inorganic sensors and past literature.
