This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Data Representation Based on Interval-Sets for Anomaly Detection in Time Series
Anomaly detection in time series is a popular topic focusing on a variety of applications, which achieves a wealth of results. However, there are many cases of missing anomaly and increased false alarm in most of the existing works.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Spatio-Temporal Consistency for Multivariate Time-Series Representation Learning
Label sparsity in multivariate time series (MTS) makes using label information for practical applications challenging. Thus, unsupervised representation learning methods have gained attention to learn effective representations suitable for various MTS ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

In this paper, it aims to model wind speed time series at multiple sites. The five-parameter Johnson distribution is deployed to relate the wind speed at each site to a Gaussian time series, and the resultant m-dimensional Gaussian stochastic vector ...

A Multiresolution Symbolic Representation of Time Series [PDF]
Efficiently and accurately searching for similarities among time series and discovering interesting patterns is an important and non-trivial problem. In this paper, we introduce a new representation of time series, the Multiresolution Vector Quantized (MVQ) approximation, along with a new distance function.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Robust Time Series Contrastive Representation Learning via Explicit Seasonal-Trend Disentanglement
We address universal self-supervised representation learning for time series under label scarcity and distribution shifts. A key challenge is that prevalent encode-then-decompose pipelines only implicitly separate seasonal and trend signals, which mixes ...
