Convergence to consensus of the general finite-dimensional Cucker-Smale model with time-varying delays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the celebrated Cucker-Smale model in finite dimension, modelling interacting collective dynamics and their possible evolution to consensus. The objective of this paper is to study the effect of time delays in the general model.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Stochastic Passivity of Uncertain Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delays

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2009
The passivity problem is investigated for a class of stochastic uncertain neural networks with time-varying delay as well as generalized activation functions.

An Overview of Integral Quadratic Constraints for Delayed Nonlinear and Parameter-Varying Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A general framework is presented for analyzing the stability and performance of nonlinear and linear parameter varying (LPV) time delayed systems. First, the input/output behavior of the time delay operator is bounded in the frequency domain by integral ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Synchronization Control of Complex Spatio-Temporal Networks Based on Fractional-Order Hyperbolic PDEs with Delayed Coupling and Space-Varying Coefficients

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper studies synchronization behaviors of two sorts of non-linear fractional-order complex spatio-temporal networks modeled by hyperbolic space-varying PDEs (FCSNHSPDEs), respectively, with time-invariant delays and time-varying delays, including ...

Finite-time dissipative filter design for discrete-time stochastic interval systems with time-varying delays

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2022
The finite-time dissipative filtering problem for a kind of discrete-time stochastic interval system with time-varying delays whose parameters are taken in a convex hull is investigated in this paper.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Leader-following coordination of multi-agent systems with coupling time delays

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, we consider a leader-following consensus problem of a group of autonomous agents with time-varying coupling delays. Two different cases of coupling topologies are investigated.
