Almost periodic solutions of distributed parameter biochemical systems with time delay and time varying input

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
In this article we study the existence of almost periodic solutions for distributed parameters biochemical system, with time delay when the input $S_{m in}$ is time dependent.

Time-varying parameters as ridge regressions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forecasting
Time-varying parameters (TVPs) models are frequently used in economics to capture structural change. I highlight a rather underutilized fact -- that these are actually ridge regressions. Instantly, this makes computations, tuning, and implementation much easier than in the state-space paradigm.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Comparison of Robust and Varying Parameter Estimates of a Macroeconometric Model [PDF]

open access: yes
Four estimators of econometric models are compared for predictive accuracy. Two estimators assume that the parameters of the equations are subject to variation over time.

A Bayesian model calibration framework for stochastic compartmental models with both time-varying and time-invariant parameters

open access: yesInfectious Disease Modelling
We consider state and parameter estimation for compartmental models having both time-varying and time-invariant parameters. In this manuscript, we first detail a general Bayesian computational framework as a continuation of our previous work ...

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Monetary Policy Transmission under Zero Interest Rates: An Extended Time-Varying Parameter Vector Autoregression Approach [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper attempts to explore monetary policy transmission under zero interest rates by explicitly incorporating the zero lower bound (ZLB) of nominal interest rates into the time-varying parameter structural vector autoregression model with stochastic ...

Bianchi Type-V Bulk Viscous Cosmic String in f(R,T) Gravity with Time Varying Deceleration Parameter

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2015
We study the Bianchi type-V string cosmological model with bulk viscosity in f(R,T) theory of gravity by considering a special form and linearly varying deceleration parameter.

Finite-Time Asynchronous Stabilization for Nonlinear Hidden Markov Jump Systems with Parameter Varying in Continuous-Time Case

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
The finite-time asynchronous stabilization problem has received great attention because of the wide application of actual engineering. In this paper, we consider the problem of finite-time asynchronous stabilization for nonlinear hidden Markov jump ...

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...
