Synchronization of time-delay systems

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1998
We present the linear-stability analysis of synchronised states in coupled time-delay systems. There exists a synchronisation threshold, for which we derive upper bounds, which does not depend on the delay time. We prove that at least for scalar time-delay systems synchronisation is achieved by transmitting a single scalar signal, even if the ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

An Effective Hybrid Cuckoo Search Algorithm for Unknown Parameters and Time Delays Estimation of Chaotic Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Parameter estimation is an important issue in nonlinear science, which can be formulated as a multi-dimensional problem. Numbers of nature-inspired meta-heuristic algorithms have been applied for parameter estimation of chaotic systems; however, many of ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Comprehensive Predictive Control Method for Automated Vehicles With Delays

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper considers the control problem of automated vehicles with delays. We develop a comprehensive control method within the framework of model predictive control (MPC) with compensation for the input delay and the state delay for automated vehicles ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Effects of construction delays on construction project objectives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Delays can be defined as the late completion of works as compared to the planned schedule on the contract. Delays can be avoided or minimized only when their causes are identified.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Relative approximate controllability of fractional stochastic delay evolution equations with nonlocal conditions

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2014
In this paper, we study the relative approximate controllability of nonlinear fractional stochastic evolution equations with time delays and nonlocal conditions, in Hilbert space, via new fixed point analysis approach.
