Time-Reversal by Time-Dependent Perturbations [PDF]
Summary: We consider the time-reversal of waves in time-dependent media. The constitutive parameters of a wave equation are assumed constant in time during intervals \((0,t-\tau)\cup(t+\tau,2t)\) for \(\tau\ll t\) and time-varying during the time interval \((t-\tau,t+\tau)\) to model a quasi-instantaneous time mirror.

REMOTE DIAGNOSTICS OF TURNOUTS STATE ON TIMING AND SPECTRAL COMPOSITION IN CURRENT CURVE
Purpose. Development and implementation the points system diagnostics that would allow determining remotely the current state of turnout with all possible faults, gradual and sudden failures, damages, and in real time to report about their appearance ...

Time-Dependent Strategies in Games of Timing [PDF]
Timing, a central aspect of decision-making in security scenarios, is a subject of growing academic interest; frequently in the context of stealthy attacks, or advanced persistent threats (APTs). A key model in this research landscape is FlipIt [1].

Clustering time series based on dependence structure. [PDF]
The clustering of time series has attracted growing research interest in recent years. The most popular clustering methods assume that the time series are only linearly dependent but this assumption usually fails in practice. To overcome this limitation,

Time series with infinite-order partial copula dependence
Stationary and ergodic time series can be constructed using an s-vine decomposition based on sets of bivariate copula functions. The extension of such processes to infinite copula sequences is considered and shown to yield a rich class of models that ...

Time-Dependent Analysis of Attacks [PDF]
The success of a security attack crucially depends on time: the more time available to the attacker, the higher the probability of a successful attack; when given enough time, any system can be compromised. Insight in time-dependent behaviors of attacks and the evolution of the attacker’s success as time progresses is therefore a key for effective ...
