The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Review of Soil Creep Characteristics and Advances in Modelling Research
Creep is recognised to be an important physical property of soils, exerting a profound influence on the stability of structures. In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the advancements and focal points in soil creep research, the relevant ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

TIME-DEPENDENT PRINCIPLES OF INVARIANCE [PDF]
Author(s): Preisendorfer, Rudolph W | Abstract: SIO Reference 57-51. In this note, we exhibit the formulation of the requisite statements of the four tijne-dependent principles of invariance and show that they are sufficient todorivethe functional relations governing the tine-dependent R and T functions and their corresponding integral operator.

Examining the time dependence of DAMA’s modulation amplitude
If dark matter is composed of weakly interacting particles, Earth’s orbital motion may induce a small annual variation in the rate at which these particles interact in a terrestrial detector. The DAMA collaboration has identified at a $$9.3\sigma $$ 9.3σ

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Time‐Dependent Circular Billiard [PDF]
We investigate a time‐dependent circular billiard with a two‐frequency driving function and derive a new simplified form for the map, which is a symplectic nontwist map. Stability boundaries and reconnection thresholds are derived for fixed points and period‐two vortex pairs.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
