Online control of AC/AC converter based SHEPWM technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Conventional online control of AC/AC converter controlled by the selective harmonic elimination pulse width modulation technique (SHEPWM) is based on storing the offline calculated switching angle values in a form of lookup table.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Speculative Thread Framework for Transient Management and Bumpless Transfer in Reconfigurable Digital Filters

open access: yes, 2018
There are many methods developed to mitigate transients induced when abruptly changing dynamic algorithms such as those found in digital filters or controllers.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Finite-time stability and boundedness for linear switched singular positive time-delay systems with finite-time unstable subsystems

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering, 2020
In this paper, the problem of finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness for a class of linear switched singular positive time-delay systems with finite-time unstable subsystems is investigated.

Consensus of Multi-Agent Systems with Switching Disconnected Topologies via Elementary-Unit-Based Dwell Time Approach

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2022
In this study, a leader-following consensus problem is investigated for a class of multi-agent systems with switching disconnected topologies. Different from the existing results on switching disconnected topologies, the multi-agent systems considered in

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Sufficient Conditions for Fast Switching Synchronization in Time Varying Network Topologies

open access: yes, 2005
In previous work, empirical evidence indicated that a time-varying network could propagate sufficient information to allow synchronization of the sometimes coupled oscillators, despite an instantaneously disconnected topology.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Exploiting the switching dynamics of HfO2-based ReRAM devices for reliable analog memristive behavior

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2019
The utilization of bipolar-type memristive devices for the realization of synaptic connectivity in neural networks strongly depends on the ability of the devices for analog conductance modulation under application of electrical stimuli in the form of ...
