Fast switching current detection at low critical currents
A pulse-and-hold technique is used to measure the switching of small critical current Josephson junctions. This technique allows one to achieve a good binary detection and therefore measure switching probabilities.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Bandwidth switching is transient-free, avoids loss of loop lock [PDF]
A circuit, in a wide bandwidth mode, overcomes transient-producing capacitance switching by maintaining an equivalent voltage at all times.

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Markov switching quadratic term structure models [PDF]
In this paper, we consider a discrete time economy where we assume that the short term interest rate follows a quadratic term structure of a regime switching asset process.

Temperature dependent magnetization dynamics of magnetic nanoparticles
Recent experimental and theoretical studies show that the switching behavior of magnetic nanoparticles can be well controlled by external time-dependent magnetic fields.

Time optimisation problem for switched stochastic systems with multi‐switching times
In this study, a time optimisation problem is solved for a class of linear time‐invariant switched stochastic systems with multi‐switching times using the calculus of variations. The objective of authors’ study is to minimise a cost functional defined on the system state, where the sequence of active subsystems is pre‐specified and the switching times ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Critical Field Strength in an Electroclinic Liquid Crystal Elastomer
We elucidate the polymer dynamics of a liquid crystal elastomer based on the time-dependent response of the pendent liquid crystal mesogens. The molecular tilt and switching time of mesogens are analyzed as a function of temperature and cross-linking ...
