The investigation of X-ray OK??- and TiL??-emission bands in coarse-(???d > 5 ??m) and nanopowders (???d = 107 and 10 nm) reveals the narrowing and a change of their shape, that is due to the energy redistribution of valence electrons in the Op-states after the break of atomic bonds during the dispersion of the material to nanosizes.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) was widely used to remove arsenic (As) from groundwater due to its excellent properties. Previous studies show that the coexisting silicate ions (Si) could occupy the available surface sites of TiO2 and further inhibit As adsorption and TiO2 regeneration.

Dye sensitized solar cell with Fe2O3/TiO2, WO3/TiO2 OR CeO2/TiO2 electrode layer

A titanium dioxide electrode layer for a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) was prepared from ultrasonic spray coating of TiO₂ sol, which was synthesized via a sol-gel method. The effects of sintering temperature, film thickness, and modification of TiO₂ layer by another metal oxide on the efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell were studied.
