Bi‐ and Mono‐Allelic RFC1 Expansion in a North American Cohort With Idiopathic Axonal Neuropathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective RFC1 biallelic repeat expansion is increasingly recognized as a cause of chronic idiopathic axonal polyneuropathy (CIAP), but it remains challenging to know who to test. This study aims to determine the prevalence of biallelic and monoallelic RFC1 expansions and their corresponding neuropathy phenotypes in CIAP patients and identify ...

Determining Rotor Blade Multi-Mode Vibration Components

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The new algorithm presented in this paper determines the multi-mode blade vibration components when the time of blade arrival is known from an experiment.

Retractions in Rheumatology: Trends, Causes, and Implications for Research Integrity

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to describe the trends and main reasons for study retraction in rheumatology literature. Methods We reviewed the Retraction Watch database to identify retracted articles in rheumatology. We recorded the main study characteristics, authors’ countries, reasons for retraction, time from publication to retraction, and trends over time ...

Integrating Patient‐Reported Quality Measures in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Development of the American College of Rheumatology Implementation Guide

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To support high‐quality, patient‐centered care for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) developed evidence‐based measures incorporating clinical and patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs). Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), we conducted semistructured interviews ...

Segmented filamentous bacteria undergo a structural transition at their adhesive tip during unicellular to filament development

open access: yesNature Communications
Segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB) are intestinal commensals that promote immune system development and pathogen protection through intimate attachment to the ileal epithelium.

Discordance Between Patient and Physician Global Assessments in Early Systemic Sclerosis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aims to identify factors associated with patient global assessment (PtGA) and physician global assessment (PhGA) and discordance between them in systemic sclerosis (SSc). Methods Data from adults with early SSc (<5 years) from the Collaborative National Quality and Efficacy Registry were included.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Sparse Method for Tip-Timing Signals Analysis with Non Stationary Engine Rotation Frequency

open access: yes, 2018
International audienceBlades vibrations must be measured in operations to validate blade design. Tip-timing is one of the classical measurement methods but its main drawback is the generation of sub-sampled and non-uniform sampled signals.

Metacognitive Performance, the Tip-of-Tongue Experience, Is Not Disrupted in Parkinsonian Patients

open access: yesParkinson's Disease, 2012
The present study investigated whether a form of metamemory, the tip-of-tongue phenomenon (TOT), was affected in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). The PD patient (𝑛=22), age-matched elderly control (𝑛=22), and college student control (𝑛=46) groups ...
