Tipping, firm strategy, and industrial organization [PDF]
Tipping is a phenomenon that has been studied for many years, but is receiving increased attention in recent years. The magnitude of tips is very large – in the US, for example, tips in the food industry alone amount to about $42 billion each year, and ...

IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Tipping: The Economics of a Social Norm [PDF]
Tipping illustrates the importance of social norms in motivating economic behavior. People tip because this is the social norm and disobeying norms results in social disapproval that creates emotional disutility.

Remotely sensing potential climate change tipping points across scales
Potential climate tipping points pose a growing risk for societies, and policy is calling for improved anticipation of them. Satellite remote sensing can play a unique role in identifying and anticipating tipping phenomena across scales.

Tipping motivations and behavior in the US and Israel [PDF]
Tipping is a multi-billion dollar phenomenon and a major source of income for millions of workers. The results of a study conducted in the US and Israel suggest that people tip mainly to show gratitude, conform to the social norm, and because they know ...

ATZ‐1 promotes DNA replication efficiency to maintain normal meiotic function
Absence of ATZ‐1 interferes with meiotic DNA replication and cell cycle function via CHK‐1. This causes downstream defects associated with DNA damage and genomic integrity. Taken together, this study suggests that ATZ‐1 influences DNA replication efficiency and cell cycle function to maintain normal meiotic function.
