Relative contributions of basal vs postprandial hyperglycaemia to overall glycaemic control in newly diagnosed Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes before and after 3 months' intensive glucose‐lowering therapy

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
In newly‐diagnosed Chinese with T2D, Contribution of basal hyperglycaemia to hyperglycaemic exposure decreased substantially and the relative importance of postprandial hyperglycaemia increased markedly after 3 months glucose‐lowering therapy. Therapy should be re‐evaluated after initial treatment, and that a greater focus on limiting postprandial ...

Taiwanese consensus statement on the use of diabetes‐specific formula: Scientific evidence

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Medical Nutrition Therapy remains the cornerstone of diabetes management. Clinical evidence shows that early intervention with medical nutrition therapy can significantly improve cardiometabolic markers, thereby delaying or preventing diabetes‐related complications.

Continuous glucose monitoring–guided management of capivasertib‐associated hyperglycemia: A case series of three patients

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) visualized cyclic glycemic fluctuations associated with the 4‐days‐on/3‐days‐off capivasertib schedule. Compared with off‐treatment days, dosing days showed higher mean sensor glucose, greater coefficient of variation (CV), more time above 250 mg/dL, and lower time in range (TIR; 70–180 mg/dL).

The Trans-European Corridors: Piecemal Extension of the Existing Ones, or the Development of a Pan-European Network?

open access: yes, 2008
The European Union evolved an overlapping Trans-European network on the basis of the transport network of its 12 (15) countries in the late 1980s, next, in 1992, it was fixed (TEN) in the transport policy and Basic Treaty of the Union.

Decoding MAPK cascades in plant immunity: Activation, regulation, integration, and pathogen manipulation

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
This review focuses on mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation and summarizes how plants regulate and integrate MAPK signaling in modulating plant immune responses. It also examines the effectors pathogens have evolved to manipulate MAPK activation and thereby inhibit plant immunity.
