CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Emerging bone adhesives for early fixation and enhanced healing of fractures

open access: yesMaterials & Design
Fractures are prevalent in clinical orthopedics. Conventional metal implants used for fracture fixation pose risks of iatrogenic injury and infection, and often fail to achieve precise alignment in complex cases.

Temperature-sensitive mussel-inspired citrate-based tissue adhesives with low-swelling

open access: yes, 2022
Mussel-inspired tissue adhesives have been widely studied in recent years because of their excellent underwater adhesion. Our recent study has synthesized a series of tissue adhesives with citric acid, dopamine, 1,8-octanediol and poly(ethylene oxide ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Cyanoacrylate tissue adhesives - effective securement technique for intravascular catheters: in vitro testing of safety and feasibility

open access: yes, 2012
Partial or complete dislodgement of intravascular catheters remains a significant problem in hospitals despite current securement methods. Cyanoacrylate tissue adhesives (TA) are currently used to close skin wounds as an alternative to sutures.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Phacoemulsification Incision-Creation, Evaluation and Closure: A Review

open access: yesDelhi Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
Creating an ideal incision is the foremost and the most crucial step in phacoemulsification. The most commonly used incision for phacoemulsification is sutureless clear corneal incision (CCI).
