Tissue Doppler Imaging: Diagnostic and Prognostic Value
The paper by Yu et al. ([1][1]) in the Journal summarized the applications of tissue Doppler imaging (TDI). However, we consider additional clinical applications to be very important. We have used TDI routinely for after-transplant monitoring since 1998.

Ultrasound localization microscopy to image and assess microvasculature in a rat kidney. [PDF]
The recent development of ultrasound localization microscopy, where individual microbubbles (contrast agents) are detected and tracked within the vasculature, provides new opportunities for imaging the vasculature of entire organs with a spatial ...

Monitoring kidney optical properties during cold storage preservation with spatial frequency domain imaging. [PDF]
Transplantation of kidneys results in delayed graft function in as many as 40% of cases. During the organ transplantation process, donor kidneys undergo a period of cold ischemic time (CIT), where the organ is preserved with a cold storage solution to ...

Assessment of Regional Myocardial Displacement via Spectral Tissue Doppler Compared with Color Tissue Tracking [PDF]
Background: The recent developments in tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) now more than ever permit the quantification of the myocardial function. In the current systems, tissue tracking or displacement curves are generated from color tissue Doppler data ...
