Fabrication of a Lipopolysaccharide‐Targeting Peptide‐Based Colloid for Alleviating Carbapenem‐Resistant Enterobacteriaceae‐Induced Cutaneous Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a novel cationic peptide, IW is designed and synthesized, with a tandem‐repeat sequence demonstrating potent activities against a broad spectrum of clinically relevant Carbapenem‐resistant Enterobacteriaceae in both the planktonic and biofilm states. IW is then formulated with P407 to form IW‐P407 colloids.

Effect of Host Genotype on Symbiont Titer in the Aphid—Buchnera Symbiosis

open access: yesInsects, 2011
Obligate nutritional symbioses require balance between the energetic needs of the host and the symbiont. The resident symbiont population size within a host may have major impacts on host fitness, as both host and symbiont consume and supply metabolites ...

Vesicular stomatitis virus G glycoprotein pseudotyped retroviral vectors: concentration to very high titer and efficient gene transfer into mammalian and nonmammalian cells.

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 1993
The restricted host-cell range and low titer of retroviral vectors limit their use for stable gene transfer in eukaryotic cells. To overcome these limitations, we have produced murine leukemia virus-derived vectors in which the retroviral envelope ...
