Značajniji uzgoj konja holstein pasmine u Republici Hrvatskoj počeo je prije dvadesetak godina osnivanjem ergele ove pasmine u Poljoprivrednom institutu Križevci. Holstein kao sportska pasmina konja polako se širi osim u ergelskom uzgoju i kod privatnih uzgajača sportskih konja, naročito u sjeverozapadnom dijelu Republike Hrvatske.

TJELESNE MJERE HLADNOKRVNOG KONJA KRIŽEVAČKOG PODRUČJA

Cilj rada: utvrditi utjecaj uvezenih pastuha na populaciju konja Križevačkog područja. Sadašnji rezultati mjerenja uspoređivani su s rezultatima mjerenja iz 1982. godine. Znatnije razlike ustanovljene su kod visine grebena za 13, 5 cm, dužine trupa za 13, 5 cm, opseg prsa i cjevanica za 10 cm, odnosno 0, 57 cm.
