Comparison of LiF (TLD-100 and TLD-100H) detectors for extremity monitoring

Radiation Measurements, 2008
Abstract In this work the results aimed at assessing the performance of two types of LiF detectors, TLD-100 and TLD-100H, used in the context of extremity dosimetry are presented. Each detector variety was studied for reproducibility, batch homogeneity, residual dose, linearity and energy dependence using, when appropriate, the 90 Sr/ 90 Y radiation

A TLD System for Environmental Monitoring

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1996
A multi-element dosemeter system for environmental monitoring has been designed. It consists of three solid sintered CaSO 4 :Dy (or CaSO 4 :Tm) properly filtered, and of one low Z, MgB 4 O 7 :Dy,Na TL detectors. This TL dosemeter system is shown to meet all specified criteria and provides the accurate dosimetry required for environmental monitoring ...

Influence of the Mn-dopant on the TLD-system CaF2 : Dy(TLD-200)

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1980
Abstract Systematic investigations (ESR, IR, electron excited optical emission, glow curve analysis) of the centers involved in the TL-process of commercially available CaF 2 : Dy (TLD-200) and crystals grown by a modified Bridgman-Stockbarger method doped with Dy and Mn are described and the results are discussed.

ANALYTICAL SIMULATION OF TLD AND ASSESSING THE EFFECTS OF TLD ON THE RESIDUAL DISPLACEMENT

Various control systems have been implemented to mitigate the effects of earthquakes on buildings, aiming to reduce the kinetic energy generated by dynamic activity caused by earthquakes and wind. Among these systems, Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD) and Tuned Liquid Dampers (TLD) serve as cost-effective and practical passive control mechanisms.

Low Pre- and Post-Irradiation Fading of LiF:Mg, Ti (TLD-100, TLD-600, TLD-700) Using a Preheat Technique

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1996
High pre- and post-irradiation fading prevents the attainment of high accuracy in dosimetry measurements, especially in routine dosimetry when the exact duration and time of exposure are not known. An attempt was made at the Soreq Dosimetry Centre to reduce the fading following or preceding gamma radiation, by employing a high post-irradiation preheat ...

TL and PTTL of TLD-100 and TLD-700 after irradiation with Pu-Be neutrons

Radiation Measurements, 2008
Phototransfered thermoluminescence (PTTL) found its use in radiation dosimetry for dose reassessment. After the dose has first been evaluated by a common thermoluminescence (TL) measurement, the same dosimeter is subjected to the PTTL dose reassessment with the intention of obtaining a new estimation by a completely independent measurement procedure ...

Self-shielding factors for TLD-600 and TLD-100 in an isotropic flux of thermal neutrons

Physics in Medicine & Biology, 1976
Monte Carlo calculations have been carried out to determine the absorption probability (and consequently the self-shielding factor) for an isotropic flux of neutrons impinging on different sized cylindrical samples of TLD-100 and TLD-600.

Multivariate analysis of TLD orientation effects

Medical Physics, 1980
The effect of orientation on extruded thermoluminescent dosimeters has been investigated. TLD's placed on the surface and within a phantom were exposed separately to five diagnostic beam qualities and to 60Co γ rays. The resulting data were subjected to analysis of variance and examined for significant correlations.

An improved TLD target tracking algorithm

2016 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), 2016
Target tracking has always been a hot research topic in the field of computer vision. Tracking-Learning-Detection (TLD) is a new algorithm for online learning tracking proposed by Zdenek Kalal. In the algorithm, the computation consuming of detection module is relatively large.

Environmental monitoring with TLD

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1972
Abstract CaSO 4 :Dy has advantages for environmental TLD: It can easily be prepared, is ≈30 times as sensitive as LiF:Mg,Ti, and exhibits considerably less fading than previously used CaF 2 :Dy.
