Synthesis of trimethylolpropane trioleate by using stannous oxalate catalyst
Abstract This study was conducted to synthesize trimethylolpropane trioleate (TMPTO) using a stannous oxalate catalyst and investigate the dependence of the esterification rate on reaction variables. The highest esterification rate of approximately 99% was achieved at a 2.75:1 oleic acid/trimethylolpropane, 1.5% catalyst amount, 180°C reaction ...

ABSTRACT Background The EORTC QLQ‐C30 (QLQ‐C30) is the most widely used cancer‐specific patient‐reported outcome questionnaire in adult clinical trials, but its suitability for adolescents who have distinct developmental needs is unclear. Adolescents with cancer are often underrepresented in clinical trials, and efforts are underway to improve their ...

ZnO‐Functionalized Silicon Carbide Ceramic Membranes for Removing Impurities From Biodiesel
Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic membranes functionalized with zinc oxide (ZnO) were assessed for biodiesel purification through crossflow filtration. The ZnO–SiC membranes effectively retained metallic impurities, especially calcium, sodium, and phosphorus, achieving levels that meet biodiesel quality standards.

A Genetic Reporter for Visualizing Nitroreductase Activity Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging
We introduce a reporter gene technology to noninvasively visualize bacterial nitroreductase activity. Our method utilizes a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reporter based on aquaporin, which is fused to a destabilizing domain, resulting in their degradation (off‐state).
