Nuclear volume and expression of T-antigen, sialosyl-Tn-antigen, and Tn-antigen in carcinoma of the human bladder. Relation to tumor recurrence and progression [PDF]
The T-antigen system and the mean nuclear volume have been proposed as risk variables in bladder tumors. This study includes 34 patients with initially noninvasive (Ta) transitional cell carcinomas who experienced different courses of disease. Tissue specimens of primary tumors were analyzed for the expression of T-antigen, Tn-antigen, and sialosyl-Tn ...

Encoded Cell‐Material Interactions to Reroute Cytokine Signaling for Regenerative Medicine
We present native MATRIX (Material Activated To Regulate Inducible gene eXpression), a co‐engineered material‐cell platform. Surfaces functionalized with antibodies for endogenous soluble ligands (e.g., IL‐1β or IL‐6) capture and immobilize ligands for presentation to a cognate, engineered synthetic Notch receptor, releasing a transcription factor (TF)

Mucin associated Tn and sialosyl-Tn antigen expression in colorectal polyps. [PDF]
Sialosyl-Tn antigen and its immediate precursor, Tn antigen, are carbohydrate structures associated with the earliest steps of mucin O-linked glycosylation. Both antigens have been shown previously to be highly sensitive and specific markers of colorectal cancer.

Electrically Readable Lateral Flow Assay Using Organic Transistors for Diagnostic Applications
Electrolyte‐gated organic field‐effect transistors (EGOFETs) are integrated with lateral flow (LF) paper fluidics to create a reusable, portable, and low‐cost point‐of‐care (PoC) diagnostic test. The devices are validated for Human Immunoglobulin G detection, achieving high sensitivity (0.1 fm), selectivity, and reproducibility with rapid results in 20–

Presence of the Tn antigen on hematopoietic progenitors from patients with the Tn syndrome. [PDF]
The Tn syndrome is an acquired clonal disorder characterized by the exposure of a normally hidden determinant, the Tn antigen, on the surface of human erythrocytes, platelets, granulocytes, and lymphocytes. Two distinct populations, Tn positive (Tn+) and Tn negative (Tn-), of mature hemopoietic cells are present in Tn patients. To determine whether the

Targeting Lilrb4a in Apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4)‐associated Alzheimer's disease (AD) reprograms microglia toward a beneficial, phagocytic state. Genetic deletion or antisense inhibition of Lilrb4a suppresses p‐SHP2/NF‐κB/STAT1 signaling, restores PPAR‐linked lipid and energy metabolism, and reduces amyloid plaque burden and cerebral amyloid angiopathy ...

To study the CD8+ T cell response against a mouse γ-herpes virus, we generated Kb-MHV-68-ORF8604–612RAG−/− CD8+ T cell receptor transnuclear (TN) mice as a source of virus-specific CD8+ T cells.

A fully synthetic four‐component vaccine has been developed combining Tn antigen, vizantin (Mincle agonist), rhamnose (antibody recruitment), and mannose (CD206 targeting). By synergistically activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 pathways, it elicits strong IgG switching and cytotoxic T‐cells, significantly inhibiting tumors in mice.

The Thomsen-Friedenreich (TF) antigen is a key target for the development of anticancer vaccines, and this ongoing challenge remains relevant due to the poor immunogenicity of the TF antigen.
