Simple mucins (T, sialosyl-T, Tn and sialosyl-Tn) are not diagnostic for malignant breast lesions

open access: yes, 1994
Immunohistochemical study of the distribution of carbohydrate core-structures on O-linked glycoproteins (T, sialosyl-T, Tn and sialosyl-Tn) was performed using specific monoclonal antibodies on 148 primary breast lesions, including 10 normal breast ...

Abstract P3-05-14: Expression of the tumor associated carbohydrate antigen Tn and immune effectors in invasive breast cancer

open access: yes, 2018
Background: Glycosylation is a post-translational modification generating complex carbohydrate O-glycans. Tn antigen, a N-acetyl-galactosamine-α-O-Ser/Thr residue that is the core glycosylated component of complex mucin-type O-glycans, is ...

A cDC1‐NK/T‐Malignant Cell Circuit Drives Immunogenic Remodeling Under PD‐1 Blockade in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy combined with nivolumab reshapes the gastric cancer tumor microenvironment (TME) and is accompanied by an enrichment of reduced cytotoxicity NK (RC‐NK) cells. Rather than acting as classical cytotoxic effectors, these RC‐NK cells appear to shape the TME by promoting an immunostimulatory circuit that engages adaptive immunity.

Neutrophil‐Macrophage Interactions Shape Inflammatory Macrophage Remodeling in Gastric Cancer During Chemo‐Immunotherapy

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
PD‐1 blockade combined with chemotherapy induces MHC‐II+ inflammatory neutrophils in gastric cancer, which engage in dynamic crosstalk with macrophages to remodel the tumor microenvironment toward a pro‐inflammatory state, thereby amplifying antitumor immune responses.

Advancing Early‐Stage Type 1 Diabetes Care: Future Focused Pathways for Identification, Screening, Diagnosis, and Monitoring

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Although international guidelines provide recommendations for screening and monitoring of early‐stage type 1 diabetes (T1D), navigating the care pathway can still be difficult for individuals, caregivers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs). These challenges are exacerbated by variations in healthcare systems, gaps in communication,

Targeting the cancer glycocalyx in salivary duct carcinoma: tumor‐associated mucin 1 (Tn‐MUC1) as a novel cell surface marker

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research
Despite the use of targeted drugs for human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2 (HER2)‐positive salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) treatment, the overall prognosis for SDC remains poor.
