Detection of Tn, sialyn-Tn and T antigens in HNPCC
The simple mucin-type carbohydrate antigens Tn, sialosyl-Tn, T and the 'cryptic' sialylated variant of the last represent the mucin core oligosaccharide structures that are produced in the initial steps of the mucin biosynthetic pathway. Utilizing monoclonal antibodies anti-Tn antigen (HB-Tn1), anti-sialosyl-Tn antigen (HB-STn1), anti-T antigen (HB-T1)

Tn and Sialyl‐Tn antigens in canine gastric tissues
Veterinary and Comparative Oncology, 2020AbstractMalignant transformation is often associated with abnormal protein glycosylation expressed, amongst others, by the accumulation of simple mucin‐type carbohydrates namely Tn and Sialyl‐Tn (STn) antigens. These are usually limited in normal tissues and their increased expression has been associated with cancer progression and poor prognosis. This

Expression of Tn and Sialyl-Tn Antigens in Tumor Tissues of the Ovary
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1991The expression of sialyl-Tn and Tn antigens in various benign, borderline, and malignant ovarian tumors was examined immunohistochemically using newly developed antibodies specific for sialyl-Tn and Tn antigens. Sialyl-Tn antigen was detected in only one benign tumor, a mucinous adenoma that showed faint cytoplasmic staining in a few cells.

Expression of Tn, sialosyl Tn, and T antigens in human pancreas
Gastroenterology, 1991Carbohydrate antigens representing some of the initial steps in mucin O-linked glycosylation were examined in specimens of normal pancreas, chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Tn antigen, recognized by Vicia villosa lectin, was expressed by all specimens of normal pancreas (acinar cells) and pancreatic cancers and all but one case of ...

Coexpression of cancer-associated carbohydrate antigens, Tn and sialyl Tn
Glycoconjugate Journal, 1994The expression of cancer-associated antigens, Tn and sialyl Tn, was examined using monoclonal antibodies, MLS 128 and MLS 102, recognizing these two antigens, respectively. A cell lysate from a human carcinoma cell line, LS 180 cells, was analysed by Western blotting using these two antibodies.

Tn‐activation with Acquired A‐like Antigen
Transfusion, 1972The red blood cells of Mr. R. W., an 86‐year‐old type O patient with Proteus mirabilis wound infection, anemia, and thrombocytopenia were found to be polyagglutinable due to Tn‐activation, to be agglutinated by and to absorb anti‐A, and to have a reduced sialic acid level probably as a result of enzyme modification in vivo. The reaction with anti‐A was

A monoclonal antibody directed to Tn antigen
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1990A murine monoclonal antibody, MLS 128, that was assigned to an anti-Tn antibody has been established by immunizing mice with human colonic cancer cells (LS 180). MLS 128 bound to mucin glycopeptides from LS 180 cells and their asialo forms to the same extent as well as to ovine submaxillary mucin (OSM) and asialo OSM.

Expression of Tn, sialosyl-Tn, and T antigens in human colon cancer.
Cancer research, 1989Mucin glycoproteins are major secretory products of the colon and contain O-linked oligosaccharides synthesized on a polypeptide backbone. The initial step in the synthesis of O-linked oligosaccharides is the addition of N-acetylgalactosamine to serine or threonine residues forming the Tn antigen. This substance can then receive additional carbohydrate
