We define topological orthoalgebras (TOAs) and study their properties. While every topological orthomodular lattice is a TOA, the lattice of projections of a Hilbert space is an example of a lattice-ordered TOA that is not a toplogical lattice.

Global radiative forcing of coupled tropospheric ozone and aerosols in a unified general circulation model [PDF]
Global simulations of sea salt and mineral dust aerosols are integrated into a previously developed unified general circulation model (GCM), the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) GCM II′, that simulates coupled tropospheric ozone-NO_x ...

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum TO-A Reduces Fat Accumulation in Caenorhabditis elegans via pept-1
Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have dominated food fermentation globally and are ingrained in many food cultures. Obesity is a global health concern, and LAB ingestion is known to exert anti-obesity effects in animals.

Bacillus subtilis TO-A suppresses the age-related decline in locomotion in Caenorhabditis elegans
Research on the role of probiotics in maintaining locomotor function in aged Caenorhabditis elegans is limited. Therefore, we investigated whether a probiotic strain, Bacillus subtilis TO-A (BSTOA), which extends the lifespan of worms can prevent age ...

Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

Particle Emission-dependent Timing Noise of Pulsars?
Though pulsars spin regularly, the differences between the observed and predicted ToA (time of arrival), known as "timing noise", can still reach a few milliseconds or more. We try to understand the noise in this paper.
