Spatiotemporal Transcriptomic Atlas Reveals the Regulatory Mechanisms Underlying Early Inflorescence Development and Sex Differentiation in Spinach. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh)
High‐resolution spatiotemporal transcriptomic data from male and female spinach inflorescences across four key stages first reveal the sex differentiation initiates at the four‐leaf stage and is governed by epigenetic regulation via the SpMSI1‐SpHDT2 complex.

Mutations in CFAP47, a previously reported MMAF causative gene, also contribute to the respiratory defects in patients with PCD. [PDF]

open access: yesMol Genet Genomic Med
We report two hemizygous CFAP47 variants in two independent PCD‐affected individuals. Our study proves that CFAP47 variants cause reduced numbers of cilia and misaligned basal bodies. The findings have important clinical implications for facilitating PCD diagnosis and genetic counseling.
