Hypertranscription of rDNA Responsible for Nucleolar Remodelling is a Doorman for Acquiring Pluripotency

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Active nucleoli have the capability to release perinuclear heterochromatin, which is a novel event of iPSC reprogramming. ABSTRACT Ribosome biogenesis occurs within the nucleolus, with the initial step being the transcription of ribosomal DNA (rDNA). Although rDNA transcription is limited in somatic cells, it is more active in stem cells. Nevertheless,

Cytological diagnosis of cysticercosis: Role of FNAC with On-Site evaluation

open access: yesIDCases, 2019

Targeting ROCK1/YAP1 Axis Ameliorates Inflammation‐Induced Prostatic Hyperplasia via Stabilising SIRT1‐Dependent Mitochondrial Dynamics

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Prostate‐specific YAP1 overexpression induces pathological BPH phenogenesis. Targeting ROCK1/YAP1 with fasudil and verteporfin alleviates inflammatory BPH lesions. YAP1 orchestrates mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress via suppressing SIRT1 function.

Melanoma cells suppress mast cell function via a melanin‐dependent mechanism

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Mast cells are frequently found in melanoma tumors, and here we investigated whether melanoma cells can influence mast cell function. Our study reveals that melanin, secreted from melanoma cells, is taken up by mast cells and can reach the mast cell nucleus.
