Supervised Restricted Data Fusion With Common, Local, and Distinct Components

open access: yesJournal of Chemometrics, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In multi‐block data, the dominant sources of variation are not always most relevant to a response of interest, meaning that purely exploratory decompositions may fail to recover subtle but important response‐associated structure. We introduce PESCAR, a supervised extension of Penalised Exponential Simultaneous Component Analysis (PESCA) that ...

Research on Weakly Supervised Deep Learning Model for Semantic Segmentation of Pest and Disease Regions in Durian Blind Spots

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
Durian is a high‐value economic crop, which presents challenges in the orchards, such as complex terrain, significant canopy shading, and blind spots in manual inspections. These blind spots often become the key sources of pest and disease spread, which requires the drone‐based intelligent monitoring solution capable of operating stably in complex ...

Role of the Antioxidant Lycopene in Bone Health: Emphasis on the RANKL/RANK/OPG Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Bone health may be maintained through several interconnected mechanisms attributed to lycopene including its potent antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, osteogenic, and anti‐resorptive actions. Lycopene may protect osteoblasts by reducing reactive oxygen species and stress‐mediated apoptosis.

Inhibiting the Endothelial Mechanosensitive Channel Piezo1 Restores Hippocampal Blood–Brain Barrier Integrity to Improve Anesthesia‐ and Surgery‐Induced Cognitive Decline

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Approximately 10%–30% of elderly patients develop cognitive decline after surgery. How brain regions coordinate cellular networks to mediate this remains unclear. Anesthesia/surgery induces Piezo1 in hippocampal endothelial cells of aged mice. Endothelial Piezo1 deletion restores BBB integrity and improves cognition.

Amino acid vectorization of salicylic acid enables efficient activation of NPR1‐dependent defense without phytotoxicity

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 8, Page 7321-7336, August 2026.
Amino acid‐vectorized salicylic acid activates PR1/NPR1‐dependent defenses without phytotoxicity, showing an efficient strategy for controlled delivery and enhanced plant immunity. Abstract BACKGROUND Addressing global food security under rapid population growth and climate change requires sustainable strategies to protect crops from pathogens while ...
