Single‐Cell CRISPR: An Efficient Strategy for Decoding Plant Cis‐Regulatory Complexity
ABSTRACT The generation of complex traits involves the coordinated interplay of multiple gene networks. Elucidating the function of transcriptional cis‐regulatory elements (CREs) in regulating gene expression is crucial for understanding complex regulatory pathways and improving our ability to modify macro‐phenotypes.

Resistance of tomato cultivars to Tuta absoluta (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) under field condition
Tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta, is the most destructive pest of tomato in Iran. Resistance levels of six tomato cultivars to the pest damage were evaluated during two tomato growing seasons (2014-2015). Samplings were done weekly.

Field‐based evaluation of glass cullet as a supplementary sediment source for coastal restoration
There is an ever‐increasing demand for sand to support projects like beach nourishment and dune restoration, but dredging and mining sand causes environmental damage. Demonstrating the environmental and ecological compatibility of crushed and ground glass known as cullet to support coastal restoration projects could simultaneously divert waste from ...

Selective leaf surface defenses: trichomes trap herbivorous leafminers but spare parasitoid wasps
Hooked trichomes on kidney bean leaves selectively entrap leafminer flies but rarely affect parasitoid wasps. This morphological barrier enables pest suppression with minimal impact on beneficial insects, offering insights for breeding pest‐resistant cultivars compatible with biological control. Abstract BACKGROUND Leafminers [e.g., Liriomyza trifolii (
