Utilizing protein nanofibrils as a scaffold for enhancing nutritional value in toned milk

open access: closedEnvironmental Research, 2023
Toned milk is a lower-fat, healthier alternative to whole milk that still contains all essential nutrients. A number of methods have been developed to improve the functionality of toned milk and make it more appealing to the consumers. However, these methods often involve extensive processing techniques and can be expensive.

Encapsulation of Inulin Loaded Ovalbumin Nanofibrils in Toned Milk to Enhance the Nutritional Value

open access: closedECS Transactions, 2022
Self-assembled nanofibrils encapsulation was performed in the application of nutritional enhancement of toned milk. Inulin loaded nanofibrils (self-assembled ovalbumin nanofibrils) were used for the encapsulation of toned milk. The physico-chemical parameters and nutritional value of inulin loaded ovalbumin nanofibrils were determined.

Development of an analytical protocol for the estimation of vitamin D2 in fortified toned milk

open access: closedFood Chemistry, 2014
A simple and rapid method has been developed for the isolation and determination of vitamin D2 in fortified milk samples by HPLC. The advantage of the proposed method is that sample preparation time is reduced and both crystalline and encapsulated forms of vitamin D2 can be estimated.

Use of ai technician scores for body condition, uterine tone and uterine discharge in a model with disease and milk production parameters to predict pregnancy risk at first ai in holstein dairy cows

open access: closedTheriogenology, 1999
Technicians recorded body condition score (BCS) and several parameters related to estrus and/or metritis for 1694 first insemination cows on 23 farms. Additional variables for modeling the adjusted odds ratios (OR) for pregnancy were data on disease prior to or within 21 days of AI and test day milk yields.
