6-minute walking test: a useful tool in the management of heart failure patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Advances in Cardiovascular Disease, 2019
Reduced functional ability and exercise tolerance in patients with heart failure (HF) are associated with poor quality of life and a worse prognosis. The 6-minute walking test (6MWT) is a widely available and well-tolerated test for the assessment of the

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

TALASLI IMALAT SIRASINDA KESICI TAKIMDA MEYDANA GELEN HASAR MEKANIZMALARIVETAKIM HASARINI AZALTMA YÖNTEMLERI

open access: yesHavacılık ve Uzay Teknolojileri Dergisi, 2003
The main goal of this work is to study the influence of the tool failure mechanisms and on the tool life. Aiming to achieve this goal, several tool failure mechanisms are explained.

Validity and reliability of the palliative care needs assessment tool in Japanese patients with heart failure

open access: yesESC Heart Failure
Aims Although patients with heart failure (HF) frequently experience considerable symptom burden and require significant care, most HF patients do not receive timely intervention due to the absence of a standardized method for identifying those in need ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Dynamic failure analysis and lifetime estimation of Tool-string in rotary drilling system under Torsional-Axial coupled vibrations

open access: yes, 2022
Failure analysis and lifetime assessment of drilling systems are very important to reduce maintenance costs. Of all the failure modes, coupled vibration due to the stick–slip phenomenon is the most common problem that can affect rotary drilling systems ...

Failure as a Learning Tool in Entrepreneurship [PDF]

open access: yesOvidius University Annals: Economic Sciences Series
Entrepreneurial failure is often perceived as a negative outcome, yet it holds significant potential for learning and long-term success. This paper explores the concept of failure as a learning tool in entrepreneurship, highlighting its constructive ...

An Approximation of Heart Failure Using Cardiovascular Simulation Toolbox

open access: yesBiomimetics, 2019
In this paper, we present the simulation of 5 different heart failures with the help of the Cardiovascular Simulation Toolbox (CVST) proposed by O. Barnea et al. at Tel-Aviv University.

Dynamic Reliability Analysis of Rotary Steering Drilling System [PDF]

open access: yesMechanical Sciences, 2019
Vibration and high shock are major factors in the failure of downhole tools. It is important to study the causes of vibration and shock formation to prevent failure of the drillstring and bottom hole assembly (BHA). At present, it is generally recognized
