Die Material Selection Criteria for Aluminum Hot Stamping
The aim of this work is to develop a die material selection criterion for aluminum hot stamping applications. The criterion has been based on the back-to-back comparison of a set of reciprocating friction and wear tests.

TEM observations of wear mechanisms of TiAlCrN and TiAlN/CrN coatings grown by combined steered-arc/unbalanced magnetron deposition [PDF]
The dry sliding wear of monolayer TiAlCrN and TiAlCrYN and multilayer TiAlN/CrN coatings has been investigated against a BM2 tool steel counterface using a ring on block configuration at 91 N, 0.42 m/s.

Comparison of the Properties of Cold Work Tool Steels with the Same Hardness but Different Manufacturing Processes The required important properties [PDF]
The required important properties of cold work tool steels are hardness, wear resistance, suitable toughness and in many cases corrosion resistance. For cold work tool steels, hardness can be well controlled by heat treatment, but steels of the same ...

ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.

Tool Life of PM-HSS Cutting Tools when Milling of Titanium Alloy [PDF]
Machining of titanium alloys meets with poor life of a cutting tool. It is caused by a low thermal conductivity and by a high strength-to-weight ratio of the alloys. Various approaches for cost-effective and productive machining titanium alloys are still
