Fast image processing on chain board of inverted tooth chain

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
Discussed ordinary image processing technology of inverted tooth chain board, including noise reduction, image segmentation, edge detection and contour extraction etc.. Put forward a new kind of sub-pixel arithmetic for edge orientation of circle. The arithmetic first did edge detection to image by Canny arithmetic, so as to enhance primary orientation

Study on the New Tooth Profile of Silent Chain

Materials Science Forum, 2006
The polygon action and the meshing impact of silent chain can be reduced by the change of the link plate structure. However, the change of the link plate structure may result in the complexity of manufacture. A new modified involute profile for sprocket is put forward based on the law of motion between the link plate and the driving sprocket.

Tooth Profiles of the Sprockets of the Chain-Wave Transmission

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999
<div class="htmlview paragraph">In the paper is described the design and the principle of the operation of the Chain-Wave Transmission (CWT), which uses a multiple-strand roller infinite standard chain and presents analysis of experimental studies results pertaining to the determination of motion trajectories of the chain's roller center of the ...

Study of the Contact Between Toothed Chains and Guides

2013
This paper is dealing with the bases of the design and optimization of the chain guide system with practical application on the toothed chains for the timing mechanism of combustion engines. The main purpose of the present analysis is to determine the contact normal reactions which will be used for subsequent analysis on the tribological chain-guide ...

The Design of the Tooth Shape Silence Chain

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
This article briefly introduces the structure of the tooth shape silence chain. The touch point of the roll pins separate when the chain goes around the sprocket gear. It deduces the dimensions of the offset angle α and the roll pin angle θ with mathematics method.

Modified sprocket tooth profile of roller chain drives

Mechanism and Machine Theory, 2013
Abstract Roller chain drive is widely used in timing mechanism of gasoline engine. However, its polygonal action and meshing impact effect resulted from the non-conjugated meshing feature may damage the synchronization and uniformity of transmission. In this paper, new sprocket tooth profile is developed to reduce polygonal action and meshing impact ...

The Influence of Lubrication on Tooth-Roller Impacts in Chain Drives

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1977
In a roller chain drive an impulsive load occurs each time a roller is picked up by the driving sprocket from the chain span. These impulsive loads cause high frequency sprocket angular accelerations of large amplitude, and are the source of high frequency chain noise.

The Tooth Contact Analysis of Round Pin Jointed Silent Chains

Volume 5b: Power Transmission and Gearing Conference, 2005
This paper conducts the tooth contact analysis (TCA) of round pin jointed silent chains. The relative motion between the sprocket and a link plate, from the tight span stage to the seated stage, is investigated. The TCA techniques for gearing systems are employed in the analysis of silent chains.

Tooth Profile Modification of Sprocket in Dual Meshing Silent Chain

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Dual meshing silent chain mechanism can reduce the polygon action. In order to realize the conjugate meshing, the sprocket of the dual meshing silent chain mechanism is supposed to be an involute sprocket with a large pressure angle and negative modifying coefficient.
