Non-extensive entropy and holographic thermodynamics: topological insights

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In this paper, we delve into the thermodynamic topology of AdS Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet black holes, employing non-extensive entropy formulations such as Barrow, Rényi, and Sharma–Mittal entropy within two distinct frameworks: bulk boundary and restricted ...

Topology of restricted phase space thermodynamics in Kerr-Sen-Ads black holes

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
In this study, we investigate the thermodynamic topology of the Kerr-Sen-Ads black hole in restricted phase space. In the restricted phase space, a new parameter, central charge C, and its conjugate parameter μ are introduced, omitting the well-known PdV

Topological structure of the magnetic solar corona

open access: yes, 2007
The solar corona is a highly complex and active plasma environment, containing many exotic phenomena such as solar flares, coronal mass ejections, prominences, coronal loops, and bright points.

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

Why Is the Mechanism Underlying the Chiral‐Induced Selectivity Effect Still Challenging?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect is observed in many experimental configurations and for different materials. However, there are theoretical challenges in attempting to explain those results. A qualitative framework for explaining all the results is presented.

Charge (in)stability and superradiance of Topological Stars

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We study linear massive scalar charged perturbations of Topological Stars in the fuzzball and in the black hole (Black String) regimes. The objects that naturally couple to the electric 3-form field strength of these solutions are charged strings, wound around the compact direction.

The instanton liquid and the axion

open access: yes, 2010
The ultimate goal of this thesis is to improve our understanding of the cosmology of axions. Axions couple to QCD instantons and these non-perturbative effects are modeled within the framework of the interacting instanton liquid model (IILM).

Cumulants of the QCD topological charge distribution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The distribution of the QCD topological charge can be described by cumulants, with the lowest one being the topological susceptibility. The vacuum energy density in a theta-vacuum is the generating function for these cumulants.

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...
