Molecular Dynamics Studies of Shape Memory Polymers: From Bead–Spring Models to Atomistic Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

On Two-Dimensional Closed–Open Topological Field Theories

open access: yesAxioms
Topological field theories (TFTs) have captured the attention of mathematicians due to their various applications. In categorical terms, an nTFT is defined as a monoidal functor that maps the category of n-dimensional cobordisms to the category of vector

On breathers in affine toda theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Oscillating solitonic solutions, the breathers, of affine Toda theory are studied. These breather solutions are constructed from two solitons of the same mass with velocity opposite of each other; by analytically continuing its velocity or rapidity to a ...

Topological Quantum Statistical Mechanics and Topological Quantum Field Theories

open access: yes, 2022
The Ising model describes a many-body interacting spin (or particle) system, which can be utilized to imitate the fundamental forces of nature. Although it is the simplest many-body interacting system of spins (or particles) with Z2 symmetry, the ...

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Klein Topological Field Theories from Group Representations

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2011
We show that any complex (respectively real) representation of finite group naturally generates a open-closed (respectively Klein) topological field theory over complex numbers.

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.

Bell’s inequality and entanglement in qubits

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We propose an alternative evaluation of quantum entanglement by measuring the maximum violation of the Bell’s inequality without information of the reduced density matrix of a system. This proposal is demonstrated by bridging the maximum violation of the

A noncommutative deformation of topological field theory [PDF]

open access: yesGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 2005
Cohomological Yang-Mills theory is formulated on a noncommutative differentiable four manifold through the $θ$-deformation of its corresponding BRST algebra. The resulting noncommutative field theory is a natural setting to define the $θ$-deformation of Donaldson invariants and they are interpreted as a mapping between the Chevalley-Eilenberg homology ...
