Witten effect, anomaly inflow, and charge teleportation
We study a phenomenon that electric charges are “teleported” between two spatially separated objects without exchanging charged particles at all. For example, this phenomenon happens between a magnetic monopole and an axion string in four dimensions, two

Topological and Non-Topological Solitons in Scalar Field Theories
Solitons emerge in various nonlinear systems – from nonlinear optics and condensed matter to nuclear physics, cosmology, and supersymmetric theories – as stable, localized configurations behaving in many ways like particles.

2D and 3D topological field theories for generalized complex geometry [PDF]
Using the Alexandrov-Kontsevich-Schwarz-Zaboronsky (AKSZ) prescription we construct 2D and 3D topological field theories associated to generalized complex manifolds.

Two-dimensional topological field theories as taffy [PDF]
In this paper we use trivial defects to define global taffy-like operations on string worldsheets, which preserve the field theory. We fold open and closed strings on a space X into open strings on products of multiple copies of X, and perform checks ...

Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

Three-dimensional topological insulators and bosonization
Massless excitations at the surface of three-dimensional time-reversal invariant topological insulators possess both fermionic and bosonic descriptions, originating from band theory and hydrodynamic BF theory, respectively.

Topological BF field theory description of topological insulators [PDF]
Topological phases of matter are described universally by topological field theories in the same way that symmetry-breaking phases of matter are described by Landau-Ginzburg field theories. We propose that topological insulators in two and three dimensions are described by a version of abelian $BF$ theory.

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

Anomalies in Instanton Calculus [PDF]
I develop a formalism for solving topological field theories explicitly, in the case when the explicit expression of the instantons is known. I solve topological Yang-Mills theory with the $k=1$ Belavin {\sl et al.} instanton and topological gravity with
