Topological Nambu monopole in two Higgs doublet models
We show that a topological Nambu monopole exists as a regular solution for a large range of parameters in two Higgs doublet models, contrary to the standard model admitting only non-topological Nambu monopoles.

Topological stars, black holes and generalized charged Weyl solutions
We construct smooth static bubble solutions, denoted as topological stars, in five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theories which are asymptotic to ℝ1,3×S1. The bubbles are supported by allowing electromagnetic fluxes to wrap smooth topological cycles.

ABCD of Beta Ensembles and Topological Strings [PDF]
We study beta-ensembles with Bn, Cn, and Dn eigenvalue measure and their relation with refined topological strings. Our results generalize the familiar connections between local topological strings and matrix models leading to An measure, and illustrate ...

We construct new topological theories related to sigma models whose target space is a seven dimensional manifold of G_2 holonomy. We define a new type of topological twist and identify the BRST operator and the physical states. Unlike the more familiar six dimensional case, our topological model is defined in terms of conformal blocks and not in terms ...

Compactified webs and domain wall partition functions
In this paper we use the topological vertex formalism to calculate a generalization of the “domain wall” partition function of M-strings. This generalization allows calculation of partition function of certain compactified webs using a simple gluing ...

Constructing Spin Density Vector Twists With Spin Density Singularity
In this article, we propose a non-orbital angular momentum (OAM) method for constructing the spiral twists of spin density (SD) vectors in three-dimensional (3D) optical fields. This is realized by generating strings of SD singularities in a longitudinal

STRINGS AND NON-TOPOLOGICAL SOLITONS [PDF]
We have numerically calculated topological and non-topological solitons in two spatial dimensions with Chern-Simons term. Their quantum stability, as well as that of the Maxwell vortex, is analyzed by means of bounce instantons which involve three-dimensional strings and non-topological solitons.

Non-Abelian strings and domain walls in two Higgs doublet models
Contrary to the standard model that does not admit topologically nontrivial solitons, two Higgs doublet models admit topologically stable vortex strings and domain walls. We numerically confirm the existence of a topological Z-string confining fractional
