Global Cooling Driving the Increase in Erosion Rates Across the Himalaya Since the Quaternary

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 13, 16 July 2026.
Abstract Late Cenozoic global cooling is well documented, yet its impact on erosion rates in active mountain belts, particularly after the onset of Quaternary glaciation, remain contentious. This ambiguity partially stems from the potential methodological biases in erosion rate quantification, particularly in the Himalaya, where recent studies report ...

DNA Replication Errors Drive Genome‐Wide Small Inverted Triplication Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 37, 3 July 2026.
This study provides insight into the dynamic equilibrium mechanism of a novel structural variant, small inverted triplication (SIT), which is generated by misalignment of the 3’ flap generated under DNA replication stress with palindromic sequence. Alternatively, the end sequence may fold back on itself to form an inverted fragment.

Black Phosphorus Quantum Dot–Based Hybrid Nanoplatforms: From Surface Reactivity to Multifunctional Integration

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
Black phosphorus quantum dot (BPQD) hybrid nanoplatforms integrate tunable optoelectronic properties and surface reactivity for multifunctional applications including dual‐mode biosensing, near‐infrared bioimaging, and self‐powered electronics. Engineering strategies such as covalent passivation and interface design address critical challenges of ...
