The Method of Zero Tangential Strengths in the Problem of Charge Distribution over the Surfaces of Two Interacting Tori [PDF]
In this paper, a system of two circular concentric non-touching tori is considered. An electrostatic charge can be applied to each of the tori. The problem is to find the density of charge distribution over the surfaces of the tori, taking into account ...

Mandibular tori as an incidental finding in MRI
Tori (singular: torus) are among the most common benign jaw lesions. The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) characteristics have not been reported yet. We present a 72-year-old patient with mandibular tori, which were detected as an incidental finding on ...

Hookpod-mini: a smaller potential solution to mitigate seabird bycatch in pelagic longline fisheries
Hookpods are an emerging technology designed to reduce seabird bycatch in pelagic longline fisheries. Hookpod-minis were trialled in the New Zealand surface longline fishery in 2016-2017 during short-term experimental (20 longline sets) and longer-term ...

Monovalent N‐acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc)‐modified polyrotaxane enables efficient liver targeting by utilizing ligand mobility. The sliding and rotating cyclic components i.e., cyclodextrin in the polyrotaxane dynamically cluster GalNAc moieties, thereby mimicking trivalent interactions with asialoglycoprotein receptors.

ABSTRACT Layered 2D materials are considered as promising for memristive applications due to their ultimate vertical scalability compared to conventional semiconductor films and pronounced hysteresis properties. Bias‐resolved Raman and Photoluminescence mapping is used to quantify strain from phonon shifts and carrier density from the exciton‐trion ...

Palatal torus: etiology, clinical aspect, and therapeutic strategy
Introduction: Maxillary palatal tori are benign bone tumors that elevate the median of the palate. Although there are clinical variations, palatal tori are characterized by pathognomonic clinical and radiographic criteria.

On Actions of Tori and Quaternionic Tori on Products of Spheres
In this paper we study the actions of tori (standard compact tori, as well as their quaternionic analogues) on products of spheres. It is proved that the orbit space of a specific action of a torus on a product of spheres is homeomorphic to a sphere. A similar statement for a real torus $\mathbb{Z}_2^n$ was proved by the second author in 2019.
