Spectrum of equivariant cohomology as a fixed point scheme [PDF]

Inflections of toric varieties.
The study of the inflectional behavior of varieties is a classical topic in algebraic geometry. In the paper under review, the author investigates in detail the case of smooth projective toric varieties \(X\), embedded by a toric map \(v: X\to \mathbb{P}^n\) into the projective space.

Homogeneous deformations of toric pairs [PDF]
We extend the Altmann–Mavlyutov construction of homogeneous deformations of affine toric varieties to the case of toric pairs (X,∂X), where X is an affine or projective toric variety and ∂X is its toric boundary. As an application, we generalise a result

Ethnic Minority Representation After the 2024 General Election: Does Ethnicity No Longer Matter?
Abstract With a new record of ethnic minority MPs elected in 2024, Westminster is nearly fully representative of voters of ethnic minority origins. This outcome was not entirely dependent on Labour's landslide, with pre‐election analyses showing that diversity of MPs would have improved with all possible election results.

What England Is and What It Claims to Be: Orwell on National Identity
Abstract This article suggests that George Orwell's body of work offers a rather unique and insightful two‐part conception of national identity in the context of England, made up of a moral inheritance—the values of liberty, fairness and decency—and a lived sensibility—the fluid, experiential quality of collective life expressed in shared customs ...

‘Pro‐Germans in the Pulpits’: The Queensland Presbyterian Church and the Great War
During World War I, Protestant churches in Australia, on the whole, enthusiastically supported the war effort. The Queensland Presbyterian Church was a significant exception. This study analyses discord and tensions among its clergymen about what constituted an appropriate response to the war.
