DTC Torque Ripple Minimization Based on PSO-PID Controller [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In conventional direct torque controlled (DTC) induction motor drive, there is usually undesired torque and flux ripple. The given torque is the speed output regulator; therefore, it necessarily continues tuning for adjusting parameters Kp, Ki.

Compliant Pneumatic Feet with Real‐Time Stiffness Adaptation for Humanoid Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A compliant pneumatic foot with real‐time variable stiffness enables humanoid robots to adapt to changing terrains. Using onboard vision and pressure control, the foot modulates stiffness within each gait cycle, reducing impact forces and improving balance. The design, cast in soft silicone with embedded air chambers and Kevlar wrapping, offers durable,

Bioinspired Soft‐Skeleton Robotics With Cooperative Shape Transformation and Stiffness Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A bioinspired soft‐skeleton robot that integrates variable‐stiffness chain skeletons into a soft textile skin is developed. The chain skeletons are highly flexible initially but can stiffen upon pneumatic actuation, enabling large deformation and enhanced load‐bearing capacity.

Fourier Series Learning Control for Torque Ripple Minimization in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
A new Fourier Series Learning Controller (FSLC) for velocity control on a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) is proposed and implemented. An analysis of the error convergence for the FSLC is presented, and the update law for the Fourier series ...
