Adaptive torque-ripple minimization in switched reluctance motors
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2001This paper addresses torque-ripple reduction in current-fed switched reluctance motors (SRMs). Ripple-free torque production in SRMs requires an accurate model that is often too complex for practical implementation. The algorithm proposed here combines the use of a simplified model with adaptation.

Torque Ripple Minimization for Induction Motor Drives with Direct Torque Control
Electric Power Components and Systems, 2004Direct torque control (DTC) schemes can produce quick and robust responses, but they usually behave like hysteresis controllers. Consequently there are similar problems like non constant switching frequencies and high torque ripple especially when operation conditions result in low switching frequencies.

Intelligent control for torque ripple minimization of SRM
2005 International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2005This paper manages synthetically non-linear calculation, FEM and magnetic circuit method designing prototype SRM and realizing an approach of control strategy. SRM designing uses FEM revising technique. Novel speed control scheme based on the torque ripple minimization for a 12/8 SRM control system is proposed. This proposed strategy is that outer loop

Minimization of torque ripple in SRM drives
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2002The torque pulsations in switched reluctance motors (SRMs) are relatively higher compared to sinusoidal machines due to the doubly salient structure of the motor. The magnetization pattern of the individual phases together with the T-i-/spl theta/ characteristics of the motor dictate the amount of torque ripple during operation. Both machine design and

Torque Ripple Minimization of Predictive Torque Control for PMSM With Extended Control Set
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017To reduce the steady-state torque ripples for permanent-magnet synchronous motor drives with predictive torque control (PTC), this paper proposes a modified PTC algorithm based on the extended control set (ECS-PTC). In the proposed algorithm, more candidate voltage vectors are extended to the control set, which forms the ECS, and then, the torque ...

Torque Ripple Minimization Strategy for Direct Torque Control of Induction Motors
2010 Third International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems, 2010In the traditional direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor, the low order harmonic component of stator current is very large when the motor is running at low speed. It leads to high torque ripple of motor in low speed. To solve this problem, a new control method has been proposed in this paper. Base on the traditional DTC method, electromagnetic

Torque ripple minimization in direct torque control of induction machines
38th IAS Annual Meeting on Conference Record of the Industry Applications Conference, 2003., 2004A duty ratio control scheme for inverter-fed induction machines using the direct torque control (DTC) method is presented. An improved steady state torque response was achieved using the duty ratio control and had shown less torque ripple compared to the conventional DTC.

Torque Ripple Minimization for Direct Torque Control of PMSM With Modified FCSMPC
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2016In this paper, a Lyaupnov-based finite control set model predictive direct torque control for the permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) is proposed. In the proposed control scheme, the finite control set prediction and the Lyapunov theory are combined to minimize the torque ripple. The eight voltage vectors of the two-level converter are utilized

Direct torque control of switched reluctance motor for minimizing torque ripple
International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 2008Large torque ripple of the Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) is a major problem that is an obstacle to spreading over an industry. Nonlinear inductance profile and pulse magnetizing make the torque ripple unavoidable. In order to reduce the torque ripple, it is necessary to control the torque directly because the torque of the SRM is not linearly ...
