Reduction of gear pair transmission error with tooth profile modification

open access: yes, 2008
The gear noise problem that widely occurs in power transmission systems is typically characterised by one or more high amplitude acoustic signals. The noise originates from the vibration of the gear pair system caused by transmission error excitation ...

Analysis of multi-branch torsional vibration for design optimization

open access: yes, 2004
Industries worldwide are rapidly developing advanced complex machinery. One area that must be considered in these engineering systems is torsional vibration for multi-branch and multi-junction systems.

Torsional Natural Frequency Analysis Of Torsional Vibration Damper Using Numerical And Modal Test Approaches

open access: yes, 2021
This work presents to obtain the torsional natural frequencies and mode shapes of the torsional vibration damper. The torsional vibration damper is mounted on the end of the crankshaft in the opposite direction of the flywheel to dampen the torsional ...

A note on a torsional vibration generator

open access: yes, 1981
This paper describes the design method of a torsional vibration generator which can reproduce the torsional vibration of an arbitrary wave form. In order to perform the torsional vibration tests for the internal combustion engine, a torsional vibration ...

Overcrowded Alkene Photo‐Redox‐Switches Based on Quinolinium/Carbene Building Blocks

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
A modular synthesis of a new class of photo‐ and redox‐switches is described based on the combination of quinolinium salts and carbenes. Photochemical switching allows to selectively switch between folded E/Z isomers, while electrochemical switching allows to change between neutral, radical cation and dicationic oxidation states, which are all isolable

Interdependence of torsional vibration damper parameters on crankshaft's torsional vibrations

open access: yes, 2008
Torsional vibration of crankshaft is a harmful phenomenon in every type of engine. It can easily cause a fatigue failure in engines with relatively long crankshafts and big bore diameters (usually above 90 mm).

Research on plate spring torsional stiffness of sided horizontal dynamic-balancing-machine

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2016
:Abstract: When traditional A-B-C method is used for sided balancing machine, the measurement error is too large to meet the requirement as ignoring the influence of the vibration system’s torsion. Assessing application scope of ABC method is crucial to

Surface Charges Guided Quasi‐TEM‐mode Microwave Propagation along Dielectric Nanowire

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
According to Maxwell's equations, a single‐conductor transmission line cannot allow TEM‐mode electromagnetic wave propagation, however, this is based upon the assumption that dielectric material is isolated from the environment. In practice, surface electrostatic charges widely existed in nano‐materials with large surface‐to‐volume ratio.

Protonation‐Induced Electron Density Redistribution Facilitates Aggregation in PNNP Dicopper Hydride Complexes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Copper(I) hydride complexes often exhibit diverse aggregation behavior that can profoundly influence their structure and reactivity. In this study we use a combined experimental and computational approach to identify key structural an electronic factors that govern aggregation in PNNP dicopperhydride complexes.

Conversion Between 2‐ and 3‐Dimensional Halogen‐Bonded Networks Formed From a Single N‐Oxide/Iodoalkyne Building Block

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Open halogen‐bonded networks have been prepared from building blocks that incorporate both iodoalkyne halogen bond donors and a pyridine‐N‐oxide halogen bond acceptor. An initially‐formed 3D network containing dioxane in its channels undergoes an unprecedented transition to a 2D material when crystals are exposed to diethyl ether.
