Flexural–torsional behavior of thin-walled composite box beams using shear-deformable beam theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents a flexural–torsional analysis of thin-walled composite box beams. A general analytical model applicable to thin-walled composite box beams subjected to vertical and torsional loads is developed.

An Internal Resonance Based Method for Reducing Torsional Vibration of a Gear System

open access: yesMachines, 2022
The gear system is one of the most widely-used transmission systems due to its accurate transmission ratio and high efficiency. However, torsional vibration may severely degrade transmission performance and shorten the gear lifespan.

Torsions, low-frequency vibrations, and vibration–torsion (“vibtor”) levels in the m-chlorotoluene cation [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2020
Zero-electron-kinetic-energy (ZEKE) spectra are presented for m-chlorotoluene (mClT), employing different low-lying torsional and vibration–torsional (“vibtor”) levels of the S1 state as intermediates. The adiabatic ionization energy is determined to be 71 319 cm−1 ± 5 cm−1 (8.8424 ± 0.0006 eV).
