Sensitivity of rotor blade vibration characteristics to torsional oscillations
14th Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference, 1973A theoretical investigation of dynamic response characteristics of helicopter rotor blades in forward flight was carried out with special emphasis on the torsional degrees-of-freedom. The finite element method was applied in the formulation of the coupled equations of motion for flapwise bending and torsion for blades with non-collinear elastic, mass ...

Torsional Free Vibration Characteristics of Hybrid Clinched Joints
2010 International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2010The aim of this study is to predict the torsional free vibration characteristics of single lap-jointed cantilevered hybrid clinched joints. The focus of the analysis is to reveal the influence on the natural frequencies, natural frequency ratios and mode shapes of single lap-jointed cantilevered hybrid clinched joints caused by variations in the ...

Study on torsional vibration characteristics of conical horn
2011 International Conference on Consumer Electronics, Communications and Networks (CECNet), 2011The realization of torsional vibration by conical horn has more valuable application in project than by exponential horn and stepped horn. The wave equation of torsional wave propagating in the conical horn is analyzed based on one-dimensional wave theory, and the obtained wave equation is a standard Bessel equation.

Torsion and free vibration characteristics of turbogenerator end windings
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1992Summary: Stator end windings of large turbogenerators are subjected to static and harmonic forces due to electromagnetic interaction of the electric currents in them. In this paper the free vibration characteristics of these end winding coils are analyzed by using a transfer matrix approach, with account taken of the flexural and torsional rigidities ...

Torsional vibration transmissibility characteristics of reinforced viscoelastic flexible pipes
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1988The dynamic complex shear moduli of fibre and steel reinforced viscoelastic flexible pipes are determined by using a torsional non-resonance method. Material property master curves as a function of frequency and temperature are obtained by using reduced modulus methods.
