The Chinese Experience in Total Diet Studies
2013The first TDS in China was started in 1990 and covered four geographical regions comprised of 12 of the most populous provinces. By 2013, seven TDSs had been conducted. The methodology of the Chinese TDS is a combination of the composite food group sample approach (48 regional composites) and the individual food sample approach (approximately 620 foods)
